Almond and Raisin Persian Spiced Rice
Inspired by the jewelled rice traditions of Persian cooking, our Almond & Raisin Persian Spiced Rice brings together fragrant basmati rice, sweet raisins, sliced almonds and Alexandra’s signature biryani spice blend.
Warm, gently spiced and subtly sweet, this is an evolution of our original Biryani Rice — reimagined and elevated with richer flavour, texture and aroma.
Enjoy as a gourmet side or the base for a simple, delicious meal. Perfect alongside lamb, chicken or roasted vegetables, finished with yoghurt and a sprinkle of fresh herbs.
Combine pack contents with 3 cups of water (or stock for extra flavour) and 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional), bring to the boil uncovered. Reduce heat, cover and simmer gently for 10mins until rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat and rest for 5 minutes. Finish with a knob of butter stirred through before serving.
Ready in 15mins. Serves 4
